a legit question about key generators - Guild Wars Forums

The very recent thread offering key gen made me think of something. I live half a world away from where I'll be buying my cd (live korea, buying canada, don't ask) and so getting a new cd is a bit of a burden. I have no doubt that somebody will try to come up with a keygen for guildwars, and what if it's successful? What if (I know it's a one in a million chance, but allow me this bit of paranoia) somebody gets a random key that matches my actual access key?

When I put in my access key, if it's already "taken" will I be able to use my proof of purchase, cd, box, etc. to prove that it's really my key and make an account from it?

What happens in the case of duplicate keys being entered to create an account?

Like you said its a one in a million chance and if youve already got an account nobodies going to be able to use your key anyway
